Revolutionary Discovery: Menopause in Wild Chimpanzees Challenges Human Uniqueness
A team of researchers has been studying the Ngogo community of wild chimpanzees in Uganda’s Kibale National Park for over twenty years. Their recent publication in the journal Science reveals that female chimpanzees in this population can experience menopause and have a postreproductive lifespan.
Prior to the study, these traits had only been found among mammals in a few species of toothed whales, and among primates — only in humans. These new demographic and physiological data can help researchers better understand why menopause and post-fertile survival occur in nature, and how it evolved in the human species.

Four angular wings with steel canopies form Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre, which British studio Zaha Hadid Architects has completed on an artificial lake in China.
Located within the ZhongXin Lake in Zhuhai, the centre is characterised by its sweeping roofscape, which Zaha Hadid Architects modelled on the chevron-shaped flight formations of migratory birds in southern China.
Inside, Zhuhai Jinwan Civic Art Centre contains three distinct cultural venues – a science centre, an art museum and a performing arts centre.

Tencent’s futuristic new headquarters is twice the size of Apple’s
The office is no longer just a cubicle— but it’s also not a children’s playground.
Corporate giants often hold pride in their headquarters, its design, and its acclaim among contemporaries. Chinese tech giant Tencent is set to redefine this corporate landscape with plans for its new headquarters, Tencent Helix.
Envisioned by renowned German architect Ole Scheeren of the Büro Ole Scheeren Group, the ambitious project was unveiled on Thursday and promises to be a headquarters of the future, accommodating over 23,000 employees across an expansive 500,000 square meters – almost double the size of Apple’s California headquarters.
Digital renderings shared exclusively with CNN showcase a helix-inspired masterpiece with four towers spiraling out from a central space named the Vortex Incubator. Speaking to CNN, Scheeren emphasized that his swirling vortex geometry, will establish an ecosystem where everything comes together, where work merges into a very collaborative interactive environment.
