Join Us

We have launched a forum/mailing list to discuss your ideas for our programs and other suggestions for the Lifeboat Foundation. It is for Advisory Board members and Executive Class and greater members.

If you aren’t ready to join us, you can make a simple donation instead!

Membership vs. One-time Donation

Joining Lifeboat Foundation makes us stronger as an organization. Having more members lends our foundation more muscle when interacting with lawmakers, the press, and the public at large. If you are considering a donation, but are unsure if you would like to become a member, please join! If you have any questions, please contact our membership department at [email protected].

Remember that no amount is too small! The number of individual donors is just as important as the size of the donation, in terms of showing public support for this effort. You can also make an anonymous donation by simply shopping at Amazon.

By joining Lifeboat Foundation, you’ll be supporting the most comprehensive effort being taken to ensure that humanity adopts the powerful technologies of genetics, nanotechnology, and robotics/AI safely as we move towards the technological singularity. You’ll share in our accomplishments as we educate the public to coming dangers while we help accelerate the development of defensive technologies including technologies to combat biological viruses such as RNA interference and new vaccine methods, effective nanotechnological defensive strategies, and self-sustaining space colonies in case the other defensive strategies fail.

All members may request a copy (paperback or Kindle version) of our The Human Race to the Future: What Could Happen — and What to Do, or a copy (hardcover/paperback/or Kindle version) of The Singularity Is Near : When Humans Transcend Biology by Ray Kurzweil, or a copy (hardcover/paperback/or Kindle version) of Our Final Hour: A Scientist’s Warning: How Terror, Error, and Environmental Disaster Threaten Humankind’s Future In This Century — On Earth and Beyond by Sir Martin Rees. Executive class and higher members may request a free copy of all three books.

First class and higher members may also request a free copy of The Gathering Storm (DVD). The Gathering Storm is a movie starring Albert Finney and Vanessa Redgrave that shows Winston Churchill’s valiant but futile efforts to prevent World War II and save over 50 million people’s lives. Luckily World War II was not an existential risk as genetics, nanotechnology, and robotics are. Patron members may also request a free hardcover edition of Kinematic Self-Replicating Machines.
