Global Link Information Network was founded in 1995 by Elon Musk, his brother Kimbal Musk, and Greg Kouri who provided $6,000 in funding. Elon famously dropped out of pursuing a PhD at Stanford in energy physics/material science two days into the program to pursue the opportunity. Global Link Information Network was later renamed as Zip2 and served as a directory for local businesses. In 1996, Zip2 starts pulling data from American Business Information Inc. (ABI) and starts a self-comparison to yellow pages that will continue throughout its lifespan as a brand.

A timeline showing Elon Musk’s first website (Zip2) and its evolutions over the years, starting from 1996 and ending in 2004.

Exclusive interview for ageless partners®: augmented fasting; reverse engineering immortality.

I am so happy and intellectually fulfilled to share the following interview I had with Jason C. Mercurio, MFE about Aging and the conclusions I’ve reached after 12 years of intensive research.

Every single person reading this is suffering from Aging.

Also the tool Aging exacts in terms of human suffering is indescribable.

Future battlefields will employ ever-more technology, whether that battlefield is on earth, in the sea, in space, or in cyberspace. Today we will examine the roles robots, drones, artificial intelligence, armored suits, and nanotech may play in the future of war.

Researchers have discovered never-before-seen types of crystal hidden in tiny grains of perfectly preserved meteorite dust. The dust was left behind by a massive space rock that exploded over Chelyabinsk, Russia, nine years ago.

On Feb. 15, 2013, an asteroid measuring 59 feet (18 meters) across and weighing 12,125 tons (11,000 metric tons) entered Earth’s atmosphere at around 41,600 mph (66,950 km/h). Fortunately, the meteor exploded around 14.5 miles (23.3 kilometers) above the city of Chelyabinsk in southern Russia, showering the surrounding area in tiny meteorites and avoiding a colossal single collision with the surface. Experts at the time described the event as a major wake-up call to the dangers asteroids pose to the planet.

An Interview with COO Dijam Panigrahi.

“a unified and shared software infrastructure to empower enterprise customers to build and run scalable, high-quality eXtended Reality (XR) – Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) – applications in public, private, and hybrid clouds.”

What does that all mean?

Simply, GridRaster creates spatial, high-fidelity maps of three-dimensional physical objects. So if you plan to build an automobile or aircraft, use the software to capture an image and create a detailed mesh model overlay that can be viewed using a VR headset. The mesh model can be shared with robots and other devices.

“We are starting to help patients in ways that we did not think were possible,” Thomas Oxley (Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, USA) tells NeuroNews, referring to the potential of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. Alongside his role as a vascular and interventional neurologist, Oxley is chief executive officer of Synchron, developer of the Stentrode motor neuroprosthesis. The Stentrode is an implantable BCI device that, according to Oxley, is the first of its kind to be in the early feasibility clinical stage in the USA following US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of Synchron’s investigational device exemption (IDE) application last month. Speaking to NeuroNewsfollowing a presentation on the topic at the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery’s 18thannual meeting (SNIS; 26–29 July 2021, Colorado Springs, USA and virtual), Oxley gives an overview of the COMMAND early feasibility study, anticipates key results, and considers more generally how BCI technology could shape the future of deep brain stimulation.
