The manufacturing and industrial sector is currently undergoing a transformation with the advent of generative AI, the metaverse and web3 technology. Organizations can now use cutting-edge tools and solutions to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.

Let’s explore the ways in which the metaverse, AI and web3 technology are transforming manufacturing and industrial organizations and what the future of this sector may look like as a result.

The integration of metaverse technology into the manufacturing sector has the potential to revolutionize the way companies operate, providing new opportunities for optimization, innovation, and growth.

Summary: Religious groups may find their credibility and financial support undermined with the growing use of AI and robot preachers, according to researchers.

The study involved experiments with the Mindar humanoid robot in Japan and Pepper in Singapore, both delivering sermons to audiences. Participants rated these robotic preachers as less credible than their human counterparts, contributing to decreased donations.

Despite some acceptance, the study highlights the importance of human connection and credibility in religious leadership.

Warren Buffett has hailed artificial intelligence as a potential game-changer, but warned it could be disruptive, divisive, and dangerous.

AI promises to replace workers and harness new types of knowledge, generating lots of value and giving people more leisure time, the famed investor and Berkshire Hathaway CEO has said in interviews and during shareholders meetings in recent years, according to CNBC’s Warren Buffett Archive.

However, the nascent technology could also cause massive upheaval if it causes huge numbers of job losses, and could do enormous damage to the world if it’s used for the wrong reasons, Buffett cautioned.

Generative artificial intelligence technology such as ChatGPT could boost productivity for many workers in the years ahead. But some people are likely to lose their jobs in the process.

That’s according to Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT. Altman said in June that AI’s development could provide the “most tremendous leap forward” for people’s quality of life. But he also said in March it’d be “crazy not to be a little afraid of AI” and its potential to create” disinformation problems or economic shocks.”

A new artificial intelligence model can predict people’s risk of multiple sclerosis years before diagnosis, potentially enabling quicker treatment, according to research revealed at the 2023 AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo. Another breaking study demonstrates how machine learning can help detect lab samples contaminated with intravenous fluids—a finding that could reduce lab errors that delay diagnosis and raise healthcare costs.

Taken together, the results highlight key advances in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve patient care.

AI model harnesses patient data to predict multiple sclerosis risk.

This is a good use of AI. Definitely regular it but I can see it’s contributing to medical research.

Summary: Researchers have utilized artificial intelligence to uncover the promising potential of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) in combating Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

By integrating AI, chemistry, and omics research, the study identified specific bioactive compounds in EVOO that could contribute to the treatment and prevention of AD. Ten phytochemicals within EVOO, such as quercetin, genistein, luteolin, and kaempferol, were found to exhibit potential impacts on AD protein networks.

The study adds to the growing evidence for the neuroprotective effects of a Mediterranean diet, rich in EVOO, in mitigating dementia and cognitive decline.
