This totally makes sense to me. Whenever, you’re monitoring any type of patterns for collective reasoning or predictive analysis such measuring what voters clap to or respond positively to as well as build out your entire campaign strategy and speeches; AI is your go to solution. So, AI is a must have tool for politicians who strategically plan to win in future elections. No more need for a campaign manager like Karl Rove, etc.

Political speeches are often written for politicians by trusted aides and confidantes. Could an AI algorithm do as well?

Russia and China Have Started Enhancing Humans for Battle

If you thought Enhanced Human Operations (EHO) were an extravagant fantasy of Hollywood films and video games, then think again. Russia and China are involved in EHO, the act of modifying the brain and body in order to create “super soldiers” who will have the upper hand in battles.

Understandably, the United States is concerned about the prospect of having to join Russia and China by going down the Enhanced Human Operations route.

In a recent press conference, Bob Work, US Deputy Defense Secretary, warned that the US could be at risk of losing its “military competitive edge” if it fails to pursue military technology involved artificial intelligence.

We knew that would happen and are absolutely thrilled when we discover new capabilities that belong on this list. The disruptive technologies that will shape business in the years ahead

Good article. I need to highlight that Quantum will most definitely take all of these technologies to a new level of performance and sophistication that we have never seen before. AI (including robotics) will be able to be the independent thinkers and humanoids that we all read about in SciFi or the AI Warning articles and blogs that we read about today. VR will be to interact and predict movements that are at least 20+ steps ahead of the average person; etc. This is why Quantum is the true game changer among all of these.

2 technologies missing that should also be included to this list is nanbots and CRISPR. Just like wearable’s and AI; CRISPR and nanobots are not new; however, they will change our healthcare industry.

It won’t happen overnight but it will happen.

Report from Davos: 5 million jobs to be lost by 2020 because of tech advances

In less than 4 yrs. 5 million jobs will be lost is the prediction.

A new report predicts a loss of 5 million jobs in the next five years because of technological advances, but don’t blame it all on the robots.

The other culprits: artificial intelligence, 3-D printers and advances in genetics, biotech and more.

The World Economic Forum, which is holding its annual meeting in Davos this week, in its report details the effects of modern technology on the labor market, for better or for worse. It says “the fourth industrial revolution” will be “more comprehensive and all-encompassing than anything we have ever seen.”

Neura raises $11 million to create digital identities from consumers’ connected lives

Neura, an Israeli Internet of Things startup that pulls together data from users’ connected devices, has raised $11 million to expand its “business reach and make the service ubiquitous.” The Series A round was led by AXA Strategic Ventures and Pitango Venture Capital, with participation from Liberty Israel Venture Fund and Lenovo Group.

Founded in 2013, Neura launched in the U.S. out of UpWest Labs, a Silicon Valley-based accelerator specifically for Israeli startups. The following year, Neura announced a $2 million funding round.

Neura’s core raison d’être is to serve up back-end analysis to the Internet of Things industry, and its technology can gather data on individuals from a range of connected devices, including phones, tablets, apps, and more. Neura’s artificial intelligence recognizes and analyzes human behavior and develops what it calls a “digital identity” for each person, insight that can be used to personalize applications, services, and devices.

Jan Woerner: ESA chief wants to establish a Moon Village

European Space Agency building a space colony by 2030.

The European Space Agency unveiled plans on Friday to build a “lunar village” by 2030 as a stepping stone to Mars.

ESA chief Jan Woerner said the lunar “village” would be a series of structures made by robots and 3D printers that use moon dust as building material.

“I looked into the requirements I see for a project after ISS. As of today, I see the moon village as the ideal successor of the International Space Station for [space] exploration,” Woerner said at a news briefing in Paris on Friday.
