What Do We Lack To Be A Type 1 Civilization On The Kardashev Scale?

Watch The Kardashev Scale Type 1: What Would Be Our CIvilization?
https://youtu.be/zHFN8VrLBdc.

A type 1 civilization on the Kardashev scale manages to take advantage of 100% of the energy produced by its planet, control the climate, move continents and even change its planet’s rotation. In this sense, how long does the human race lack to become a type 1 civilization? Are we close to achieving it, or are we still far away?
Ready, let’s start! “Introduction“
The level of technological development of any civilization can be measured mainly by the amount of energy they need. But, it also encompasses the management of that energy and how they use it to develop and grow on their home planet.
Following Kardashev’s definition, a Type I civilization is capable of storing and using all the energy available on its planet; this includes all known electricity generation methods, as well as those that depend on the elements available on the planet, nuclear fusion and fission, geothermal energy, as well as that which they can collect from their star without leaving the planet.
The human race has not yet reached this level of development, but will we ever reach it? And if so, when will we achieve it?
Previously we already made a series of 3 videos in which we address the three types of civilizations that exist according to the Kardashev scale. “Enter here images of the series on the scale of Kardashev.“
But today, we will focus on analyzing why the human race has not yet managed to become a type 1 civilization and how far we need to become one.
The Great Filter.

Twitter Reveals ‘NFT Tweet Tiles’ in Order to ’Impact‘ the Social Media Experience

Is Twitter getting into the NFT business?

According to the social media company Twitter, the firm plans to launch a new feature called “NFT Tweet Tiles,” a segregated panel within a tweet that showcases non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and the marketplaces that list the specific NFT shared. The new NFT concept is expected to drop soon, in order to “impact the Tweet experience,” Twitter developers explained on Oct. 27.

Twitter Developers Reveal ‘NFT Tweet Tiles’

After Elon Musk officially took over Twitter, the social media’s development team tweeted that the firm aims to drop a feature called NFT Tweet Tiles soon. “Now testing: NFT Tweet Tiles,” the account @twitterdev tweeted. “Some links to NFTs on [Rarible], [Magic Eden], [Dapper Labs], and [Jump.trade] will now show you a larger picture of the NFT alongside details like the title and creator. One more step in our journey to let developers impact the Tweet experience.”

Elon Musk’s Twitter is planning to charge $20 for verification

Just days after taking over Twitter, Elon Musk has issued an ultimatum to engineers over a new project.

According to a report from The Verge, Musk wants to launch a pay-for-play verification system in which verified users are charged $20 per month.

The kicker is that engineers have until November 7 to launch the scheme or face being fired. Employees were only told of the project on October 30.

Elon Musk’s Twitter reportedly will charge $20 a month as subscription fees

The changes at Twitter have already begun. Those not falling in line might be fired.

Twitter, under its new CEO, Elon Musk, may begin charging $20 a month as subscription fees from its users who have verified accounts.

Previously, a decision like this would lead to weeks of discussions at Twitter but with a new CEO in charge, it was done almost overnight. The move to increase subscription fees is also expected to be implemented soon enough but allegedly carries a rider of losing the job if not done.

Imagining Elon Musk’s Million-Person Mars Colony — Chapters 1 to 6

Chapter 1

Elon Musk Makes His Big Announcement

In September, 2016, Elon Musk made an amazing, startling announcement at the annual IAC (International Astronautical Congress) conference. Elon unveiled his Mars project, released videos of his plans, and answered obvious questions people would have. About a month later Musk personally appeared in a Reddit AMA to take questions and further clarify his plans.

Here are some of the best internet reactions to Elon Musk buying Twitter

There is a mix of excitement and fear and lots of memes.

After much back and forth and a lawsuit, four days ago, Elon Musk completed his $44 billion takeover of the social media platform Twitter. Musk had put the deal on hold after his initial offer earlier this year. Later he backed out, citing a high number of fake or spam accounts on the platform, a point that then-CEO Aggarwal had publicly denied.

Musk was then taken to court by Twitter’s lawyers. The court had given the two parties time till the month’s end to work out a deal.

As soon as Musk acquired Twitter, he proceeded to fire CEO Parag Aggarwal, finance executive Ned Segal, and legal and policy executive Vijaya Gadde.

Billionaire CEO Elon Musk has finally bought Twitter after a long saga of back-and-forth negotiations and even a lawsuit. The internet is both excited and afraid, and people are expressing their opinions in all kinds of ways.

Existential Hope: Creon Levit | On space and the long-term future

Are we alone in the universe? What could a future for humans in space look like? And what would Creon’s advise to Elon Musk be if he wants to make a self-sufficient mass colony there? This Hope Drop features Creon Levit, chief technologist and director of R&D at Planet Labs.

Creon Levit is chief technologist at Planet Labs, where he works to move the world toward existential hope via novel satellite technologies. He also hosts Foresight Institute’s Space Group.

Creon speaks on:

- His experiences working with NASA & Planet Labs.
- Natural systems technologies.
- Regenerative Agriculture.
- His vision for the future.
- And much more!

Creon is chief technologist and director of R&D at Planet Labs, and a Foresight Institute senior fellow. He previously worked at NASA Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, where he was one of the founders of the NAS (NASA Advanced Supercomputing) division, co-PI on the Virtual Wind Tunnel project, co-founder of the NASA Molecular Nanotechnology Group (the first federally funded research lab devoted to molecular nanotechnology), co-PI on the hyperwall project, investigator on the Columbia accident investigation board, member of the NASA engineering and safety center, investigator on the millimeter-wave thermal rocket project, the Stardust re-entry observation campaign, PI on the LightForce project, special assistant to the center director, and chief scientist for the programs and projects directorate.
