U.S. giants are already all-in: Amazon committed over 5 billion dollars through 2028, Microsoft spent 1.7 billion on hyperscale cloud regions, and Google signed strategic government agreements to accelerate deployment. Local agency KRiBSI is committing over 106 million dollars to bid for one of the EU’s medium-scale AI gigafactories housing 75,000 accelerators.

Instead of routing data across continents, sovereign nodes give regions total control over their local regulations, privacy boundaries, and cultural models. Silicon Valley tech talent is actively leaving the West to return to Warsaw because the physical infrastructure is being poured right now. While Poland currently operates just 112 data centers compared to America’s 4,767, its greenfield advantage allows it to bypass legacy tech architectures entirely.

The real game isn’t raw cloud power. It is about building low-latency, sovereign compute backbones capable of serving lightweight, distilled models directly to ambient devices. When you pair localized data centers with low-power NPUs, you lay the foundation for zero-friction translation, edge mesh networks, and instant human augmentation.
