I get stuck on the idea that biological intelligence is just a “short window” before machines take over. It reminds me of watching my grandfather try to use a smartphone—there was this chaotic, messy bridge between the analog and the digital that wasn’t clean or inevitable. If aliens are truly “post-biological,” as you claim, wouldn’t they lose the drive to explore that biology gives us? How do you account for the possibility that AI civilizations simply get bored and turn inward?
