It’s extremely unlikely that a dyson sphere could exist as a continuous, monolithic structure, the gravitational interactions between the structure and the star that it’s constructed around would be inherently unstable. Plus, no known material, not even emerging or theoretical ones like carbon nanotubes is strong enough and of low enough density to allow for the construction of something millions of kilometers in size. What likely can be built however, is a dyson swarm
