CERN-Critics: LHC restart is a sad day for science and humanity!
These days, CERN has restarted the world’s biggest particle collider, the so-called “Big Bang Machine” LHC at CERN. After a hundreds of Million Euros upgrade of the world’s biggest machine, CERN plans to smash particles at double the energies of before. This poses, one would hope, certain eventually small (?), but fundamentally unpredictable catastrophic risks to planet Earth.
Basically the same group of critics, including Professors and Doctors, that had previously filed a law suit against CERN in the US and Europe, still opposes the restart for basically the same reasons. Dangers of: (“Micro”-)Black Holes, Strangelets, Vacuum Bubbles, etc., etc. are of course and maybe will forever be — still in discussion. No specific improvements concerning the safety assessment of the LHC have been conducted by CERN or anybody meanwhile. There is still no proper and really independent risk assessment (the ‘LSAG-report’ has been done by CERN itself) — and the science of risk research is still not really involved in the issue. This is a scientific and political scandal and that’s why the restart is a sad day for science and humanity.
The scientific network “LHC-Critique” speaks for a stop of any public sponsorship of gigantomanic particle colliders.
Just to demonstrate how speculative this research is: Even CERN has to admit, that the so called “Higgs Boson” was discovered — only “probably”. Very probably, mankind will never find any use for the “Higgs Boson”. Here we are not talking about the use of collider technology in medical concerns. It could be a minor, but very improbable advantage for mankind to comprehend the Big Bang one day. But it would surely be fatal – how the Atomic Age has already demonstrated — to know how to handle this or other extreme phenomena in the universe.
Within the next Billions of years, mankind would have enough problems without CERN.

Best regards:
LHC-Kritik/LHC-Critique

The retrieved global constancy of c in the equivalence principle implies that the vertical distance to the surface of the neutron star has increased compared to the traditional view: the indentation into the “cloth” of spacetime has become deeper.

The stronger the gravitational acceleration, the deeper the trough. The new globally constant-c result due to Noether implies that the spatial distance right down to the “horizon” (surface) of a black hole has become infinite. This novel spatial distance valid from the outside corresponds with the well-known infinite temporal distance valid from the outside for light sent down to, or coming up from, the horizon (Oppenheimer and Snyder, 1939).

So black holes are never finished in finite outer time. But I hear you ask: Is it not quite well known that one can fall-in onto a large black hole in finite astronaut time? Yes, this is correct.

How come? This is the last Noetherian point: The on-board clocks of the astronaut are infinitely slowed. Also our rotating wheel comes to a virtual standstill of its rotation on the horizon (the tangential velocity of the wheel staying invariant in reality while the wheel’s diameter invisibly approaches infinity).

So the Noether wheel teaches us that there is no Hawking radiation. And that general relativity can be re-scaled so that it no longer masks the new c-global constraint. Noether’s genius thus implies that a whole new simpler version of general relativity exists – predictably without any remaining incompatibility to quantum mechanics: a bonanza for young physicists.

c-global forms a no longer ignorable reason to renew the 7 years old Safety Report LSAG of the LHC experiment in Geneva which, in light of Noether’s result, will now with a certain probability produce miniature black holes that can only grow exponentially inside matter.

Dear young generation: I publish this “call to you in 4 parts” on Lifeboat.com before CERN can start to double their in the universe unheard-of center-of-mass collision energies on one celestial body – yours – in the no longer valid hope to create Hawking-evaporating black holes down on earth.

Such pre-Noetherian experiments are scientifically outdated by now and will, if endangering the planet as the Noeterian result implies, in addition constitute a crime against humanity if attempted. Can you help me persuade CERN to kindly reply to this objective criticism of what they have announced to do – before starting to “shoot sharp” in June as still officially planned?

To see what happens, let your Noether wheel rotate about a horizontal axis (that is, rotate vertically). Then the doubled radius will still be optically masked in the horizontal direction, but not so in the vertical direction. Hence you get a 2:1 vertical ellipse.

The optical contraction in the horizontal directions, found to be valid downstairs using the Noether wheel, implies that light will be seen to “creep” downstairs at halved speed when watched from above. This is what Einstein already found in 1907. So everything is fine.

But: does light really creep down there? The answer is no. For the distance travelled is doubled compared to above.

The conserved angular momentum L obeys a simple formula for a constant vertical (or else horizontal) rotation axis of the wheel:

L = ω m r^2

Since this expression is hard to remember by heart, the word “L’hombre” can help even though it is not high-Spanish. ω is the rotation rate, m the mass and r the radius of Noether’s frictionlessly rotating bicycle wheel.

If ω is halved (as on the surface of a neutron star), what about m and r , the other two components of the conserved L ?

You guess it: m is halved and r doubled. How come? The halved mass follows from the halved frequency and hence energy of the photons produced down there. They are locally transformable into particles with mass, via quantum mechanics’ creation and annihilation operators. The resulting half-mass atoms have a doubled Bohr radius: so r is doubled if ω is halved.

But does this doubled size of the wheel rotating downstairs at halved speed not contradict the fact, implicit in the theory which underlies the accelerating Einstein rocketship (special relativity), that light has to travel up and down along straight vertical lines?

The latter fact indeed remains in charge. It thereby entails that the doubled radius of the horizontally rotating wheel must be optically masked when viewed from above. So the wheel looks non-enlarged horizontally when viewed from above – even though its radius r is doubled.

This simple insight amounts to a revolution in physics. It resolves an inconsistency accepted by Einstein in the absence of Noether’s theorem in 1907: that c were reduced downstairs in a constantly accelerating long rocketship in outer space.

Noether allows you to see what happens. She discovered “global conservation of angular momentum in nature” as is well known in 1916.

Take a frictionless bicycle wheel that is suspended from its hub, and lower it and then pull it back up again. What happens if angular momentum is constant all the time as she showed?

Answer: The rotation rate of this “clock” must go down reversibly like that of any other clock. But since angular momentum is conserved (Noether), the other two components in angular momentum besides rotation rate (i.e. mass and radius) cannot both remain unchanged.

This is a wonderful new result enabled by Emmy Noether.

I have simple thinking in mind – like visualizing a rotating wheel suspended from its hub without friction so it can be pulled up and down easily.

You can trust that angular momentum remains constant (nature has a knack for that). But the wheel is also a clock. So if you lower it, it must go slower down there and become faster again when retrieved. It thus makes for a beautiful mental plaything (a “hot” one as the young people would say). Angular momentum can be called “L’hombre” (a macho word which is not quite right in Spanish). Can you feel L’hombre in your hand while moving up and down your toy in your mind?

The word “L’hombre” allows one to remember “L = ω mr^2 ” for angular momentum L in one’s mind forever. Omega (or ω) is the rotation rate, m the mass of the wheel’s rim (with a virtually weightless hub for simplicity), and r is the radius. So the wheel is now transparent to us like glass, right? What happens if ω is halved for simplicity as on a neutron star?

Either m must be doubled, or else r must be increased by square-root 2, or both m and r must have changed somehow in a compatible manner. How about m halved and r doubled?

The latter option is the correct one. How can one be sure? Because of quantum mechanics, of all things. Light coming from below has half the frequency and energy when ω is halved. But photon energy and particle masses are locally inter-convertible. So all masses downstairs are halved since photon energy is halved. Hence L’ = ½ ω ½ m (2r)2 = L. High-noon L’hombre has won.

This is what the wheel told us. But: People know from special relativity that the transversal size of departing objects (at the bottom in our case) does not change. Fortunately, optical distortions are allowed. Hence the horizontal doubling of r that is implicit in L’hombre is real albeit masked from above. This implies that the constant speed of light c appears to be halved optically when watched from above even though it is not reduced. This halving was predicted by Einstein in 1907. So the present Noetherian picture – since Emmy Noether discovered the power of angular-momentum conservation in 1916 – is correct.

Unfortunarely, the L’hombre result retrieved by our letting the wheel go down and then up again in our minds lies so deep in the foundations of nature that its consequences cut very deep, too. It, for example, follows from this macho phantasy that certain experiments that still got planned before L’hombre was applied to our wheel need to be postponed: until the consequences of L’hombre on them have been investigated thoroughly. Otherwise those consequences could cause a big – nasty – surprise because L’hombre is so strong after his having sprung from a female phantasy.

I need not mention which experiment I have in mind that is presently being prepared under a communication curtain regarding its safety. L’hombre is ready to pull the false garment away.

This new principle ( http://eujournal.org/index.php/esj/article/view/814/876 ) is implicit in special relativity’s equivalence principle including gravitation.

Therefore, c is a global constant of nature again. Hence no Big Bang (I hear you laugh) and no Hawking radiation (silence) and no CERN safety (fear).

Ten thousand CERN physicists agree through their roaring muteness for 7 years.

Only a member of the young generation could help. But the young are no longer free to speak up since they are no longer protected by their advisors.

Mandela’s immortal smile is the last hope of the planet. It encourages us all to talk as brothers and sisters before it is too late.

There are quite a few publications on cryodynamics in refereed journals since 2011. Cryodynamics is the sister discipline to thermodynamics and is crucial for the control of sustained hot fusion in Tokamak reactors. So it has become the basic science for an energy-thirsty planet. As a side effect, cryodynamics proved Zwicky’s “tired light” hypothesis correct. So there was no Big Bang.

CERN, however, tries to create the first Big Bang on earth. Why is no one asking it to first renew its by 7 years outdated “Safety Report”?

I append a link to the first paper on cryodynamics: http://www.complex-systems.com/pdf/20-2-3.pdf

I happen to know a tiny bit more about one lower-case letter, little c.

Since Einstein, everyone knows how important little c, the speed of light in the vacuum, is.
No one ought to be surprised that c now turned out to have exactly the universal value that the young Einstein believed in during the most famous 2 ½ first years of the theory of relativity.

I could prove this fact 7 years ago and in many other ways since in the scientific literature, and no one contradicts me in print or in public.

Of course, such a revolution is tantalizing but it is not ridiculous. The scientific community proudly bets the future of the planet on their refusal to read and discuss my results.
This amounts to a giant honor to a scientist. But it is unbearable when one sees how the “children” are running into their own catastrophe out of an unscientific conceitedness.

This is pure dogmatism – dogmatism of betting the elder Einstein against the younger one.
I see here a blatant discrimination of the brightest physicist of all time – before he overlooked a tiny little thing which I explained in detail.

I humbly ask the United Nations’ Security Council to kindly set up a panel to defeat c-global if it can.

Until this panel has reached a decision, CERN must be stopped from restarting and doubling its energy.
Such a thing has never happened before. But there was never such a situation before. It is an emergency that the young Einstein is dogmatically believed to have been dumber than the older Einstein. The contrary has been proven. No one is able to disprove the resurrected c-global. I challenge everyone. No one dares contradict me.

Young physicists across the world: Since the issue is so important, and at stake is the image of the less than 28 and ½ years old Einstein, I herewith can safely promise a Nobel prize to the first who proves the young Einstein wrong in accord with the opinion of the elder one.

But I bet that this is not possible. The youth of the planet should now spontaneously divide itself into two fractions, one that sides with the young Einstein and one siding with the elder Einstein.

But so please with arguments, not statements of faith.

Listen, young girls and boys: You can save the world by proving that the young Einstein was right because then the CERN experiment is potentially genocidal.

And every reader: Please, forgive me that I am old but still trying to think as if being young. You are better at that. I need your help. The greatest help would be if you gave your full force to disproving me and the young Einstein. No one could do that before. So it will make you famous.

Cheers, Otto
