GPT-4 is reportedly six times larger than GPT-3, according to a media report, and Elon Musk’s exit from OpenAI has cleared the way for Microsoft.

The US website Semafor, citing eight anonymous sources familiar with the matter, reports that OpenAI’s new GPT-4 language model has one trillion parameters. Its predecessor, GPT-3, has 175 billion parameters.

Semafor previously revealed Microsoft’s $10 billion investment in OpenAI and the integration of GPT-4 into Bing in January and February, respectively, before the official announcement.

Neurosity’s headset uses electroencephalogram technology, or EEG, to measure brain activity by placing small metal electrodes on a person’s scalp. If the electrodes detect decreased electrical activity in the brain, the Crown plays music and sounds, or pulses vibrations, hoping those actions will help the user focus.

But some developers, it seems, have taken Neurosity’s tech a step further, turning the Crown into a more traditional brain computer interface that can allow users to control a computer using only their mind.

One owner of the gadget claimed they’ve used it to drive a Tesla, moving the electric car short distances by doing some mental math, which signals to the device that the person wearing it is exerting a lot of cognitive effort.

Grimes got a new brain gadget for her 35th birthday.

“Getting a non invasive brain computer interface for my birthday (!!!!?),” she tweeted Friday. “Yeah it’s a good time to be alive.”

Neurosity CEO AJ Keller confirmed that the singer, named Claire Boucher, had asked for one of the company’s headsets, known as the Crown, in a custom white color.

Elon Musk’s Boring Company is doubling down on its Vegas bet, with a proposal that would expand its underground transport system to 65 miles of tunnels below the streets of Sin City.

The proposed network map, which was recently filed with the city of Las Vegas and not previously reported, depicts dozens of tunnels criss-crossing the city to reach more casinos, retail zones, the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus and, for the first time, even residential areas. The proposed transit system is comprised of 69 stations and 65 miles of tunnels, according to planning documents, plus an unknown number of Tesla vehicles.

If successful, a Loop station would be located within a few blocks of almost anywhere in central Las Vegas. Five stations would serve the University of Nevada; and Allegiant Stadium — home to the Raiders NFL team — would get extra links to the west of the city. Harry Reid International Airport would have several stations surrounding it, although none actually serving the passenger terminal.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently stated Starship has a roughly 50% chance of reaching orbit on its first try.

SpaceX’s massive next-generation Starship spacecraft could launch on its first orbital test flight within the next few weeks.

SpaceX is currently eyeing a mid to late April launch date for the historic mission, which is set to take to the skies from the firm’s Starbase launch facility in South Texas.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has set an automatic poop emoji for all press requests.

Musk is an advocate of free speech but since Twitter requires some moderation in the modern age this has given rise to issues surrounding censorship.

The mass layoffs during Musk’s tenure, which have drawn criticism, included staff members working in communications, leading to worries about the company’s approach to speaking with the press.

HUMANS in the next 100 years could be part-machine, part-flesh creatures with brain chips and bionic limbs and organs in a vision of “cyborgs” once described by Elon Musk.

Men and women born around 2100 could live in a world very different to ours as humans may be totally connected to the internet and meshed together with artificial intelligence.

Mobile phones would no longer be needed — as everything you now do with your smartphone will now be done with a chip in your brain.
