  1. An individual with extraordinary means, as in wealth, could build and survive within a well stocked, hardened survival location indefinitely.

    As for most of humanity, and much of the animal kingdom, this would be an extinction level event, due to food and fuel scarcity.

    Although in theory, societies could build mass survival shelters, but such an undertaking would be monetarily and regulatoraly impossible. Just the red tape, licences and permits couldn’t even be overcome, let alone the allocation of resources.
