   I’ve lived through decades feeling that congress and NASA failed a vision for manned space flight since Apollo. I’ve long believed that many Americans have been disappointed.

   Finally, America and NASA have been blessed by the arrival of a visionary immigrant who is changing everything. Elon Musk and Spacex have managed to inject America with a new excitement for discovery. Go Spacex! Let’s roll!

   America and the West need to be first on Mars to establish democratic governance, or risk Mars becoming another planet encumbered by a cold war when Russia lands on one side, and China on another; on and on to a new disaster; not to mention should religious conflicts be allowed on Mars.
