The site works like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which went viral earlier this year for its unique and realistic responses from a computer program. But be careful about its answers.
Framing the process of ageing more as a treatable condition, rather than an inevitable consequence of life, could allow people to live longer, thanks to emerging biotechnologies and a greater emphasis on healthy living.

Once deemed dangerous and illegal, psychedelic compounds have been rediscovered by the scientific, medical and psychiatric communities as research reveals their capacity to help patients with a range of maladies. With investors beginning to flood this new market with capital, will Big Pharma join in, or try to squash a nascent revolution of the mind?

Psychedelics as medicine to treat mental health disease has had a recent resurgence of attention and dedicated research, with encouraging results. Could this class of drugs serve as a paradigm shift in the way mindfulness therapy and mental health is approached? Compounds like LSD, DMT, psilocybin, and MDMA are investigated as treatments for states of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction. Listeners are challenged to question their preconceived notions and judgements as it pertains to this group of restricted therapeutics in the psychedelic class. Burton J. Tabaac, MD FAHA

The origin of intelligent life on earth requires a host of statistically improbable events which may imply that similar intelligent life elsewhere is extremely unlikely, a fact mostly ignored in discussions about contacting extraterrestrial life.
We now know of thousands of planets orbiting other stars. But we know of only planet that hosts life – the Earth. Most scientists think that life elsewhere in the Universe is likely to exist, but so far there is no evidence that extra-terrestrials exist or that they have visited us. However, we can search for signs of life on distant planets and we are even using radio telescopes to look for messages sent to us by extra-terrestrial civilisations. In this talk Tim will discuss the latest science behind the search for alien life.
