Dr Egbert Edelbroek, Ph.D. — CEO, SpaceBorn United — R&D To Make Humanity A Multi-Planetary Species

Dr. Egbert Edelbroek, Ph.D. is the CEO & Founder of SpaceBorn United (https://spacebornunited.com/), a research and mission design company focused on researching optimal conditions for human reproduction in space, with a focus on novel assisted reproductive technologies.

Dr. Edelbroek is passionate about accelerating space life science research, helping humanity to become a multi-planetary species. His interest in space exploration accelerated shortly after he became a sperm donor in 2010 and when learned all about assisted reproductive technologies. This inspired him to explore options to re-engineer existing IVF technology for application in space.

Dr. Edelbroek earned his Ph.D. studying courage development in organizations from Radboud University, a Master’s degreein neuro-linguistic programming & coaching from IEP Nijmegen, and a Master’s degree in organizational sciences from Tilburg University.

Dr. Edelbroek enjoys innovating and exploring boundaries by connecting domains and experts that usually remain separated in order to expand the human comfort zone.

The profiles of transhumans are as diverse as its application. From artists and CEOs to academics and bedroom hackers, the transhumanist movement raises some important questions for us all.

While we love the efficiency and connectivity technology provides, can we embrace a future where it goes beyond our environment and enters our bodies and minds? Could we reach a point where we gift friends and family cognitive implants and new senses? If we are able to defy death, what are the implications for the meaning of life? And, most importantly, will this evolution divide or unite us?

Scientists just issued a shockingly bleak ‘warning to humanity’

Scientists say that Earth’s trees are facing an unprecedented level of extinction and humanity should be worried. The state of our world’s trees has been an ongoing issue for decades now. But, that issue seems to be getting worse, and now we’re facing a massive extinction level issue that could threaten entire ecosystems.

Trees play an important role in the various ecosystems that cover our planet. Last year, a team of researchers released a paper titled State of the World’s Trees, which looked at how the loss of some tree species has affected entire ecosystems. Now, that same team of researchers has issued a warning as the ongoing issue with Earth’s trees has become even direr.

The research is backed by 45 additional scientists from over 20 different countries and outlines the many impacts that losing any of these tree species could have on the world. It isn’t just the local ecosystems that would be affected by these losses, either. The researchers say these losses will affect our livelihoods, economies, and food.
