AI Bubble

A lot of people are talking about an AI bubble since it is normal for tech to explode in growth for a while, then collapse a bit, and then eventually move forward again.

WE ARE NOT IN AN AI BUBBLE. THE SINGULARITY HAS BEGUN.

There will not be a year between now and the upcoming AI takeover where AI data center spending will decline worldwide.

  1. A lot of very smart people warned us about AI a few years ago.
This is the planet of the slow learners.
I don’t think we could have stopped it if we had wanted to.
The only thing that we can do now is make it illegal and I don’t see that happening.
and while we are at it , we really need to get rid of the Internet …but again … I don’t think that’s going to happen either…
AI could possibly get in the hands of very very bad people just like the worldwide web has.
So I guess my attitude is, as my son says, , bring it on! Number one law of Mother Nature is the survival of the fittest.

  2. You could be right or wrong. You will be wrong if AI utility fails to match AI spend. As a heavy user in my field, it is often wrong. I think we are in the hype section of the S curve, moving toward a plateau of utility. Another potential problem is that some tragedy will occur based on “blind faith” in AI output that will set the field back by years, similar to the set-back of the Challenger disaster to space flight, from which we are just starting to recover from after nearly 40 years.
