Dr. Roey Tzezana
Roey Tzezana, Ph.D.
is Research Fellow at the Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology, and
Security at Tel Aviv University.
He is the chief scientist at Tela Labs — labs for public and social
innovation and entrepreneurship. His research deals mainly with analysis
of emerging and disruptive technologies and forecasting their impact on
the society and the individual. His studies have been conducted in
collaboration and for private companies, government ministries, the
Israeli police force, and the European Union.
Roey is the academic director of several courses about the future, at
the Hebrew University, Technion, and private organizations. He’s a
columnist at the Technion Magazine, and is the main writer and editor of
the blog Mada Acher. He’s often interviewed in the TV and radio about
the future and emerging technologies. His book Guide to the Future has
recently been published in a crowdfunding project that has garnered
large success. The book has become a bestseller, been published in three
editions, and is currently being translated into other languages.
Roey earned his BSc in Biology at Technion – Israel Institute of
Technology in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Nanotechnology at Technion in 2011.
He is also a graduate of Singularity University.
