Dr. Hisham Badaruddin
Hisham Badaruddin, M.B.B.S., M.P.H. is the Chief Medical Officer at TSquared Lab, where he leads TSquared Health, an AI-driven longevity ecosystem in Singapore, and the Founder of Noviu Health and Bartley Clinic. He is also Club Medical Doctor at Lion City Sailors FC, Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Health Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine, with over 25 years of experience in preventive and longevity medicine.
Hisham, who publishes under the name Hishamuddin Badaruddin, describes his mission as making personalized longevity medicine accessible to everyone rather than the privileged few, adding life to the years rather than only years to life. He began his career in emergency medicine before concluding that true health care lies in preventing illness rather than responding to it, and his practice now combines longevity medicine, preventive care, and digital health technologies to help patients build evidence-based longevity principles into their daily lives.
Appointed Chief Medical Officer of TSquared Lab in December 2025, Hisham provides physician-led interpretation of advanced biomarker panels, supported by AI-enabled longitudinal health tracking, and works with multidisciplinary teams across movement, nutrition, recovery, and lifestyle to translate clinical insight into measurable outcomes. TSquared Health launched on 17 December 2025 with the acquisition of the clinical operations of Noviu Health, giving the group clinics at Upper Paya Lebar Road and a flagship in Singapore's Central Business District at SBF Center.
Its founder and CEO, Afshan Thakkar, described the venture as the evolution of TSquared Lab's transformation philosophy, and Hisham noted that combining biomarker testing, structured interpretation, and real-world intervention under one ecosystem can meaningfully shift long-term health trajectories. In June 2023, Hisham founded Noviu Health and its first clinic, Bartley Clinic, which opened in September 2023 as a general practice integrated with longevity medicine. Within fourteen months, the clinic had seen more than 2,000 patients and kept its most comprehensive package under US$1,000, reflecting his stated aim of keeping longevity science affordable for many more people. Between 2022 and 2023, he served as Chief Medical Officer of Chi Longevity, the Singapore longevity clinic cofounded by our Andrea B. Maier, and in December 2021 he was appointed Chief Medical Officer of GPNow, a telehealth platform focused on bringing remote medical services to vulnerable populations. Since February 2025, he has also served as Club Medical Doctor to Lion City Sailors FC, the Singapore professional football club. From 2018 to 2020, Hisham was Director and Public Healthcare Leader at Deloitte Consulting in Singapore, advising on healthcare strategy, digital health systems, analytics, and organizational operations across Southeast Asia.
Before that he spent nearly eight years at Singapore's Ministry of Health, from 2010 to 2018, rising from Assistant Director to Associate Consultant in the Surveillance and Response branch of the Communicable Diseases Division and then to Deputy Director of the Integrated Operations Hub in the Operations Group. In those roles, he led outbreak investigation and disease surveillance work that produced a series of peer-reviewed studies.
He coauthored the investigation of the 2015 epidemic of invasive group B Streptococcus infections linked to raw freshwater fish, the first large foodborne outbreak attributed to that organism. He also coauthored an editorial on the nationally led simulation used to test Singapore's hospitals against Ebola and other pandemic threats, and two modelling studies of hand, foot and mouth disease with the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. Earlier, Hisham worked in emergency medicine in hospitals across the United Kingdom and Brunei, relocating to Southeast Asia in 2002. Managing the response to the 2003 SARS outbreak turned him toward public health, and he went on to hold public health positions with the health ministries of both Brunei and Singapore, working on disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, and pandemic planning.
He consulted for the World Health Organization and UNICEF on pandemic ethics and avian influenza preparedness, and has held roles with Emergent BioSolutions and Cigna. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he joined the international REPROGRAM consortium in calling for a more resilient governance model for medical supply chains. Hisham earned his Bachelor of Medical Sciences with Honours in 1993 and his M.B.B.S. in 1995 from the University of Nottingham, where he studied as a Brunei government scholar, and his M.P.H. in Epidemiology in 2006 from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University as a Fulbright Scholar.

He holds Full Registration with the Singapore Medical Council, is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in public health, and in 2026 completed the AIM ASEAN AI for MSME Advancement training programme.
Since 2020, Hisham has been Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, affiliated with its Centre of Regulatory Excellence and the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute, and since 2018, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Health Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine. He has been a member of the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society since its founding in 2022 and of the Singapore Medical Association since 2011.

Hisham lives in Singapore with his wife Linda, whom he met in Edinburgh as a young doctor and married in 2001. They have three children. He speaks English and Bahasa Indonesia.
