Dr. Hanine Estephan

Hanine Estephan, Dr. Sc. is the Founder and Managing Director of Glowspan, a Strategy and Science Advisor to Elevate Wellness, and Strategic Advisor and Investor at Seen Fertility, with over 20 years of experience in global health, wellness, longevity science, and digital health innovation across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

She is a Harvard-trained Epidemiologist, Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine practitioner, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, and public-health scientist whose career bridges clinical science, strategy consulting, regulatory affairs, and consumer health at the highest levels.

Hanine is a Member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Hanine founded Glowspan in 2020 as a health, wellness, and longevity advisory platform operating across Europe and the Gulf Cooporation Council. Glowspan sits at the intersection of science, strategy, and execution, advising investors, organizations, and senior leaders on the design and scale-up of evidence-based health, wellness, and longevity solutions. Engagements span advisory mandates, strategic projects, and selective executive and corporate wellness programs aligned with leadership performance and healthspan.

She also serves as a Strategy and Science Advisor to Elevate Wellness, an investor-backed wellness platform, where she advises on scientific and regulatory diligence, portfolio-level preventive health strategy, and alignment between evidence, claims, and commercial positioning.

Since 2021, Hanine has been a Strategic Advisor and Investor at Seen Fertility (formerly Fertility Mapper), a science-backed, data-driven fertility platform in London that empowers individuals with data-driven insights for reproductive health optimization. At Seen Fertility, she supports strategic growth and commercialization, bridges reproductive health with longevity science and precision wellness, and oversees regulatory and scientific affairs.

Between October 2020 and August 2025, Hanine served as the Global Group Science and Wellness Director at Holland & Barrett, the international health and wellness retailer. As a key member of the senior leadership team, she built and led the Science, Health, and Wellness function at the group level, shaping the company’s scientific strategy, innovation, and regulatory excellence across multiple markets, including the UK, Ireland, Benelux, Saudi Arabia, China, and emerging international markets.

She directed scientific wellness initiatives across two core sub-functions: Scientific and Medical Affairs for Digital Ventures and Scientific Affairs for Retail and Manufacturing. In 2025, Hanine spoke at Vitafoods Europe in Barcelona on how personalized, science-led wellness strategies can support women’s health with greater precision. She has also spoken at Food Matters Live, the Longevity Summit Dublin, Shop Arabia, and various international healthcare conferences.

Between November 2018 and June 2020, Hanine was the Commercial and Operational Director for Market Development and Partnerships at ZAVA, at the time the largest pan-European online pharmacy and digital health company, operating across six European markets including Germany, the UK, France, Austria, Ireland, and Switzerland.

ZAVA was later acquired by Hims & Hers. At ZAVA, she led the market expansion of ZAVA France and spearheaded cross-market growth initiatives and revenue strategy across ZAVA’s European portfolio. Between February 2017 and December 2023, Hanine served on the Advisory Board of MindBerry, a digital mental health platform, where she guided evidence-based mental health solutions for high-performance individuals and supported expansion in the mental health and corporate wellness sectors.

Between December 2014 and November 2018, she was a Senior Engagement Manager at Oliver Wyman, the global management consulting firm, where she led high-impact strategy, healthcare, and life sciences projects for global clients. She advised executives, investors, and policymakers on business transformation, market expansion, digital health innovation, and M&A and private equity advisory in healthcare and wellness-focused acquisitions. During this period, she contributed to projects with the Emirates Wildlife Society in association with WWF.

Between February 2013 and December 2014, Hanine was a Health Specialist Consultant in Health, Nutrition, and Population at The World Bank in Washington, D.C. She advised governments, global health organizations, and policymakers on evidence-based strategies to enhance public health, nutrition, and population health outcomes.

She received the Vice Presidency Unit Team Award for MENA during her tenure. Between 2007 and 2013, Hanine was a Scientific Researcher and Doctoral Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she conducted research in genetic epidemiology, cardiovascular health, and occupational health. She leveraged advanced statistical modeling and molecular techniques, including sequencing, genotyping, PCR, cell culture, immunoassays, and spectrophotometry, to drive evidence-based insights in public health.

Hanine earned her Doctor of Science degree with a major in Epidemiology and a minor in Biostatistics in 2011 from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded the Amelia Earhart Scholarship, the Harvard Graduate Consortium Fellowship, the Akira Yamaguchi Endowment Fund, and the HSPH-Cyprus Endowment Scholarship.

She served as President of the Middle East Students Group at Harvard School of Public Health and as Student Government Representative, and she launched and co-chaired the Middle East and North Africa Conference at Harvard School of Public Health. She completed executive education programs in Commercializing Life Sciences into Business and Innovating in Health Care at Harvard Business School, in Organizational Leadership and Strategy at INSEAD, and in Digital Marketing at The Wharton School.

She holds a Lifestyle Medicine Diploma from the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She earned her Master’s degree in Health Management and Policies from the American University of Beirut with her thesis titled Quality Assessment of Free Standing Laboratories in Lebanon. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology Sciences with Distinction from the American University of Beirut, graduating in the Top 1% of her class.

Between December 2012 and December 2015, Hanine served as Vice President of the Harvard Club of Lebanon and co-chaired the Harvard MENA Conference in 2009 and 2010 through Harvard Arab Alumni. Hanine is fluent in Arabic, English, and French and has extensive experience working across the GCC, UK, Europe, and the United States. She has been recognized as a WeAreTechWomen featured health tech executive and advisor.
