Gennady Stolyarov II
Gennady Stolyarov II, FSA, ACAS, MAAA, CPCU is an Actuary, Author, Philosopher, and Transhumanist Activist. He is the Chairman of the United States Transhumanist Party, the Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors at the Longevity Escape Velocity (LEV) Foundation, the Chairman of the Transhuman Club, the Administrator of THPedia, the Transhumanist Encyclopedia, and the Editor-in-Chief of The Rational Argumentator, an online magazine championing the principles of reason, rights, and progress, which he has published since 2002.
With over 16 years of experience in actuarial science and insurance regulation, and nearly a decade leading the transhumanist political movement in the United States, Gennady bridges the disciplines of actuarial science, philosophy, life extension advocacy, and political activism.
Gennady is the author of Death is Wrong, a children’s book on life extension published in 2013. The book argues that death is an enemy to be fought with medicine, science, and technology, and has been translated into Russian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. It has been featured in Slate, Fast Company, Mashable, HuffPost, and Vice Motherboard. In their 2017 book Juvenescence: Investing in the Age of Longevity, entrepreneurs Jim Mellon and Al Chalabi acknowledged Gennady as a prominent longevist. Read How to live forever.
Since November 2016, Gennady has served as the second Chairman in the history of the U.S. Transhumanist Party, a political organization that advocates for life extension, emerging technologies, and rational governance. Under his leadership, the party has grown to over 4,800 members as of January 2026, implemented ranked-preference voting in its internal elections, successfully conducted electronic primaries to select the 2020 and 2024 Presidential nominees, and developed a comprehensive governance framework.
He hosts weekly Virtual Enlightenment Salons featuring in-depth conversations with leading thinkers across a variety of disciplines and regularly produces YouTube videos on life extension, politics, philosophy, and related subjects. Gennady is also the Chairman of the Transhuman Club, the apolitical affiliate organization of the U.S. Transhumanist Party, launched in July 2022.
Since January 2024, Gennady has served as the Administrator of THPedia, the Transhumanist Encyclopedia, an open-access resource for the transhumanist community. He also designed the latest version of LEV: The Game, a freely available computer game where one plays as a character seeking to live indefinitely.
He is also the Chief Executive and a founding member of the Nevada Transhumanist Party, established in August 2015 and registered as an official political party in Nevada. Since September 2022, Gennady has been the Treasurer and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Longevity Escape Velocity (LEV) Foundation, cofounded by Dr. Aubrey de Grey, a world-renowned pioneer in biogerontology. In this role, Gennady supports and empowers research and advocacy efforts to bring therapies for the effective reversal of biological aging within our lifetimes.
In addition to Death is Wrong, Gennady is the author of Practice Problems in Advanced Topics in General Insurance. a 473-page actuarial study guide published by ACTEX Learning in 2016, which includes 613 practice problems and full solutions.
He has also written the science-fiction novel Eden against the Colossus, the philosophical treatise A Rational Cosmology, the play Implied Consent, and the self-help treatise The Best Self-Help is Free. He contributed four chapters to the collection Human Destiny is to Eliminate Death, edited by Hank Pellissier. Gennady has also contributed articles to the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies (IEET), The Wave Chronicle, Le Québécois Libre, the Ludwig von Mises Institute, and numerous other publications.
Gennady’s thousands of published works include articles, short stories, poems, videos, academic study guides, musical compositions, audio recordings, and fractal artworks. He is also an amateur mathematician and composer, having produced numerous original musical compositions.
In an effort to help spread rational ideas, Gennady published articles on Associated Content, later on the Yahoo! Contributor Network, from 2007 until Yahoo! closed the venue in 2014. He held the highest Clout Level possible on the Yahoo! Contributor Network and was one of its Page View Millionaires, with over 3,191,000 views.
Gennady earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Economics, Mathematics, and German in 2009 from Hillsdale College in Michigan, where he completed 200 credits of courses across three majors and served as Coordinator of the Hillsdale Classical Liberal Organization.
He holds ten professional insurance designations: Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS), Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC), Associate in Personal Insurance (API), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Accredited Insurance Examiner (AIE), and Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF).
He received the ARC Distinguished Graduate Award and the CPCU Distinguished Graduate Award from The Institutes (AICPCU/IIA) in 2012 for attaining the highest cumulative grade average in examinations leading to those designations, as well as the ARe Award for Academic Excellence in 2011.
Gennady was born in 1987 in Minsk, Byelorussian SSR, and resides in Carson City, Nevada.
