Derek
Boyd Hankerson, M.A. is
Director, Writer, and Producer at
Freedom Road Productions (FRP).
The primary focus of FRP has been educating Americans on the rich
contributions of those minority populations to including Native American,
Hispanic, Asians, and Africans who helped settle Florida.
FRP has been instrumental in bringing to life the stories that have been
missing from our history text books prior to and during the 500th

domestic and international travelers to Florida to learn of the history
in the southeast region of
the Country. They have connected both the National Park Service (NPS)
Underground Railroad Network to Freedom, and the NPS Gullah Geechee
Cultural Heritage Corridor to St. Johns County, and St. Augustine during
that time.
Derek was previously Advisory Board Member and Field Coordinator AFP at
Americans for Prosperity and Business Partner/Sponsor/Host at the

Conference.
