DC Spensley, MFA is

DC is a contemporary artist who produces telepresent theatrical
productions, intriguing art games, and social / trans-media
storytelling.
Based out of Silicon Valley, he investigates opportunities for
participation, engagement, and play as art experiences. His work has
exhibited internationally at venues like Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
in San Francisco, Ars Electronica in Linz Austria, Dutch Electronic Arts
Festival in the Netherlands, Boston’s Cyber Arts Festival, and San Jose’s
ZERO1 Biennial.
DC was previously Artist at CODAME, Digital Media/New Media Instructor
at CADRE Laboratory for New Media, Managing Editor at SWITCH Journal,
Curator/Board Member at Linden Endowment for the Arts, Director of
Photography at SPIA Pictures, Art Director at h+ Magazine, Creative
Director at Eyecon Technologies, Principal Illustrator at NASA/UC
Berkeley, and New Media Instructor at San Francisco Educational Services.
DC did undergrad studies in Film at the City College of San Francsico
from 2000 to 2002. He
earned his BFA at San Francisco Art Institute in 2006 and his MFA
in New Media at the CADRE Laboratory for New Media, San Jose State University
in 2012.
