Adam Williams, MSc

Adam Williams, MSc is Senior Lead Engineer and Lead Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, Senior Associate at E911-LBS Consulting, and Graduate Researcher at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.

He is a World Traveler, Volunteer, Analyst, Project Manager, and Engineering Professional with solid experience in electronics and software testing, automation, and validation fields.

At Booz Allen Hamilton, Alan works in concert with technologists, policy experts, and management consultants to develop engineering solutions. Together, they help solve engineering and applied science issues facing federal defense and civilian agencies, using rapid prototyping and building satellites for the Air Force, and utilizing telematics to assure safety in the nation’s automobiles. Working with partners like FIRST Robotics and the Society of Women Engineers, they inspire solutions to problems for tomorrow.

Since 2017, Adam has been a Graduate Researcher focusing on robotics and drone technologies for precision agriculture, remote sensing, data mining, and information technology. The core techniques include multispectral/hyperspectral imaging, spectroscopy, machine learning, geographic information systems (GIS), digital mapping, and biochemical sensing.

He is focusing on Drug Discovery using Supercomputers and Advanced and Traditional Testing methods. Focuses include Computational Biology, Physics and Chemistry, Supercomputing, Modeling, Robotics, Advanced Sciences and Methods, Blockchain, Applied Mathematics, and Computation.

In 2002, Adam joined E911-LBS Consulting, where he is currently Senior Associate. He provides global consulting to firms seeking to understand the LBS space, providing clients with industry insight and technological analysis with real-world business case grounding. He regularly coauthors highly regarded reports about the Internet of Things and the state of the Mobile Telecom world. E911-LBS Consulting is the premier provider of business, product, and technology strategy and implementation services for enterprises, startups, and public sector entities looking to capitalize on location-based services (LBS), public safety/E911, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Since 2004, he has also been Senior Associate at LBS Globe and since 2006, Principal Researcher at A&R Enterprises where he researches security products on the market while developing relationships with vendors and understanding and reporting on new trends in security, including Cloud, Mobile, SAS, and Healthcare. He is a Researcher on emerging security threats including network penetration techniques, UAV command and control, and AI Vulnerability Analysis.

Previously, between 2018 and 2021, Adam was Assistant Vice President and Systems QA Associate at Wells Fargo.

In 2017, he had a short term Contract as Principal Automation Engineer and Consultant at Honeywell, where he was working on Reverse Engineering, Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation Control, Legacy Systems, Motor Control, and Quality Assurance.

For almost 4 years, Adam was Senior Software Test Engineer at Vital Images. He focused on reducing R&D fixed cost and improving efficiency. He was the leader of Global Distributed teams and generated increases in product quality while reducing R&D fixed costs by well over $1 million a year.

Between 2012 and 2013, Adam had multiple Consulting and Project Management Positions as Automation Architect and Instructor. He worked for ESRD, The Mount Sinai Hospital, USPTO, Teradyne, and Philips.

Adam is a Ph.D. Student in Biomedical Informatics and Computational Biology at the University of Minnesota. His Ph.D. research topic is the transformation of lunar regolith using biology to drive large scale agriculture in space.

He earned his Master’s Degree of Science in Space Resources and Mechanical Engineering in 2022 and 2023 from Colorado School of Mines. He earned his Master’s Degree of Science in Biomedical Informatics and Computational Biology in 2020 and in Software Engineering in 2016, both from the University of Minnesota.

Adam worked on Computational Modeling, Drug Design, Botanical Medicines, Genetics, Microbiome, Advanced Medical Methods, Traditional Medicine, Chinese Medicine, Clinical Trials, Biochemistry, Integrative Healthcare, Ethics, Medical Terminology, Chemistry, Materials Characterization, Materials Science and more. His Master’s Project was focused on using UAVs and hyperspectral cameras to monitor and optimize Corn Nitrogen by developing a data processing pipeline in Python for transforming raw spectral data into actionable information.

For his Software Engineering Degree, his work was focused on Process Improvement, Data Modeling, Database Management, Requirements Gathering, Requirements Analysis, Software Development Methodologies, LEAN, and more.

In 2008, Adam earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Economics with highlights including disruptive economics, international politics and business, global resource flow modeling, economic philosophy, sociology and counterculture.

Adam began his Professional Career as Software Test QA Engineer and Consultant for FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA from 2009 to 2012.

Adam was invited to be Speaker at ISDC 2025 Together and Beyond.
