We have received a
proposal for “Lifeboat Foundation Sponsorship and
Engagement towards the 1967 Treaty on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space”.
The proposal and request for support directly targets the forthcoming
UNISPACE+50 Conference in 2018, and the preparatory events. The UN
Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNOOSA) is obtaining
outreach activity in 2017 for the 50-year celebration of the 1967
treaty. This will be followed by an international review, and a
transformative referendum towards consensus and further resolutions in
2018. The UNISPACE+50 Conference will represent the fourth international
UN dialog on space exploration and development since 1967.
This proposal needs $5,800 to be funded. If we receive at least 25% of that
amount we will fully fund this proposal.
