Simon Hedley
Simon Hedley, FCA, BFP is the Founder and Managing Director of Psi Pi Group Limited and Strategic Alchemy®, and author of The Five Connections with over 25 years of experience in strategic consultancy, entrepreneurship, and investment banking. He is also the founder of Psi Thinking Ltd and The Simple Idea Ltd, organizations focused on strategic consultancy for businesses, governments, and groups, as well as digital media publishing, training, and consulting.
Simon has become known to his select clients as “The Strategic Alchemist”, having spent over two decades working primarily by referral and often privately behind the scenes. For over two decades, he has been primarily working by referral, and often privately behind the scenes as “Simon X”.
His expertise lies in strategic business development, joint ventures, and what he calls “Strategic Alchemy™” – the process of taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary. In 2022, he launched Strategic Alchemy, where he focuses on helping entrepreneurs and business leaders achieve breakthrough results through transformative partnerships and connections.
Simon has been Partner at Links Golf Cafe LLC since April 2022, presenting the world’s first golf cafe that combines STARBUCKS® meets eSports meets Country Club for Small Business Owners & Entrepreneurs.

Through Psi Pi Group™, which he founded in January 2000, Simon has built a strong global network of experts, associates and partners with strong authenticated track records of expertise. The organization operates with unrivalled connections and industry insight, supporting many of the initiatives, projects and people that have shaped and continue to shape the modern world. As a serial entrepreneur, he has also founded multiple ventures, including Pause Stop Reset, The Simple Idea, and iPrioritize Ltd, developing productivity enhancement tools based on over 20 years of research.
Simon is also a published author, having written Chaos To Clarity: How To Get Out Of Your Own Way And Remember What Really Matters and created the Pause Stop Reset | The Yearbook: The Three Little Words That Make The Difference. He hosts the Pause Stop Reset Podcast, where he interviews entrepreneurs and thought leaders about navigating challenging times. In May 2014, he founded Freedom International NOW™, a UK registered charity which focuses on education, improving health, and relieving poverty in the UK and around the world.
Before his entrepreneurial journey, Simon built a distinguished career in investment banking. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent over ten years working in financial services, including roles at Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Scotland, and ABN Amro. At ABN Amro, he served as Investment Manager with primary responsibilities for the day-to-day management of c. 1.2bn€ inside regulated UCITS approved investment funds. He worked extensively in Product Development, Structuring, Credit Derivatives, and developed the ABN Amro Market Access ETF business with over 1.2 Bn Euro across 4 exchanges.
Simon earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Mathematics from Durham University between 1996 and 1999, where he launched and ran an award-winning Drum and Bass night called Substance with John B. He was a major scholar at Tonbridge School, where he studied from 1991 to 1996. He holds the professional designation of Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and has additional certifications, including the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and BFP from ICAEW.
Beyond his primary ventures, Simon serves on multiple boards and advisory positions. He has been a Founding Partner at Global Mastermind Alliance since January 2024, Partner at Hedtrip Entertainment™ since 2000, and Founding Member of Author Marketing Group since May 2020. He previously served as Trustee for Freedom International NOW from May 2014 to present, and has held advisory roles with numerous organizations focused on entrepreneurship and social impact.
Simon has received recognition for his contributions to various fields. He is an accomplished martial artist who won three Gold Medals at the British Tai Chi Open in 1996 and has been an advanced Tai Chi Chuan instructor for over twenty years. He is also a trained counselor and master practitioner of multiple modalities, including NLP. His innovative work includes developing multiple mobile applications and web applications, publishing multiple books, and creating hundreds of audio recordings.
Simon lives in Royal Tunbridge Wells, England, United Kingdom, with a wonderful son called Noah. He maintains his commitment to health and balance through his continued practice of Tai Chi and remains actively engaged in philanthropy, having been involved in charity work and philanthropy for several decades. His philosophy centers on helping good people do great things and paying forward the opportunities he received through scholarships and mentorship throughout his life.
