Ryan Smith is the Vice President and the Founder of TruDiagnostic. He is passionate about applying his biochemistry and medical knowledge to create innovative solutions for the biomedical industry.
Ryan’s core competencies include startup development, entrepreneurship development, successful business ownership, biomedical innovation, and biochemistry expertise. He has over 10 years of experience in leading and developing startups and providing consulting services to various biomedical clients. Ryan’s mission is to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of people and society.
At TruDiagnostic, a cutting-edge company, Ryan is offering personalized and preventive healthcare products and services by leveraging advanced technologies such as AI and genomics. They are focusing on methylation array-based diagnostics for life extension and preventive healthcare.
TruDiagnostic is a CLIA-certified lab and health data company focused on serving integrative and functional medicine providers in the United States. Since starting in 2019, TruDiagnostic has created the largest private epigenetic database in the world with over 70,000 patients. It has published over 30 academic papers and have been awarded 10+ patents.
In addition, Ryan has consulted other companies where he supports and advises various biomedical projects and initiatives, ranging from research and development, clinical trials, and regulatory affairs, to quality assurance and compliance.
Between 2016 and 2020, Ryan was the Vice President of Business Development at Tailor Made Compounding, where he served as a key member of the executive team charged with creating a pharmacy specializing in the compounding of peptide molecules, designed and created research and development lab to implement Solid Phase Protein Synthesis for bulk drug APIs, and created a platform and marketing plan to educate physicians on previously unknown compounds.
Ryan earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biochemistry from Transylvania University. After graduation, he attended medical school at the University of Kentucky for 2 years. After finishing all the educational curriculum and passing USMLE Step 1, he decided to leave and help open up a pharmacy in the United States that focused on peptide synthesis and formulations for pharmaceutical preparations. That pharmacy, Tailor Made Compounding, became the 4th fastest growing company in healthcare in the US and grew to $80 million in revenue within 3 years.
Ryan is a Founding Member of the International Peptide Society, Member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), Live Forever Club Members, and is a regularly invited Speaker to conferences on Longevity. He was an invited speaker at the 1st International Roundtable of Longevity Clinics and the 11th Aging Research and Drug Discovery Symposium.
