Rob Bencini, MBA, CEcD

Rob Bencini, MBA, CEcD is an Economic Futurist, Author, and Certified Economic Developer. He is coauthor of Pardon the Disruption: The Future You Never Saw Coming.
 
Rob was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina and earned his BS in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill and his MBA from East Carolina University. He is finishing his Certificate in Strategic Foresight from the University of Houston. His broad business background includes experience in manufacturing, sales and management, nonprofit development and leadership, local government management, and economic development.
 
He became Guilford County, North Carolina government’s first Economic Developer, practicing standard economic development in business retention and recruitment with in-county partners from Greensboro and High Point as well as the State of North Carolina. His addendum to the County’s standard ED policy became the most progressive high-wage local economic development policy in North Carolina, and perhaps the U.S.
