Norman “Nick” P. Soloway

Norman “Nick” P. Soloway is Founding Partner of Hayes Soloway, P.C. Nick is an AV Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated (5.0 out of 5) attorney and is one of 200 practicing patent attorneys in the United States to be included in Woodward/White’s Best Lawyers in America. He is also a member of the FutureMed faculty.
 
Nick has been practicing in the intellectual property profession for over 40 years. He has extensive patent prosecution, litigation, and licensing experience and counsels clients and renders formal opinions concerning the infringement or validity of patents and the designing of products and processes to avoid potential patent infringement.
 
He has filed and prosecuted well over 10,000 patents and trademarks for large and small corporations in the United States and throughout the world and his client base includes industry leaders in aerospace, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemical technologies, mechanical and electromechanical technologies, and microelectronics.
 
Prior to founding Hayes Soloway, P.C., Nick was in private practice in Boston, and before that in New York City. In addition to the practice of law, as a serial entrepreneur he cofounded 3 technology based companies: Diamond Guard (defunct), HBN Shoe, and Structural Pharmaceuticals, a not-for-profit startup for the University of Arizona Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics Department. He is also a member of Tucson’s Desert Angels investment group.
 
Nick earned his Sc.B. at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1962. He earned his LL.B. at Boston College Law School, Boston, Massachusetts in 1965.
