Professor Nikhil R. Pal

Nikhil R. Pal, Ph.D., FIETE, FNASc., FNAE, FNA, FIFSA, FIEEE is INAE Chair Professor, Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit (ECSU), Indian Statistical Institute. He is the Vice-President for Publications of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) (2013–2016) and the 2017 President-Elect of CIS.
 
His research interests include pattern recognition, medical and satellite image analysis, fuzzy sets theory, neural networks, evolutionary computation, bioinformatics, and brain science.
 
Nik is on the Editorial Boards of IEEE Transactions on Systems Man and Cybernetics – Part B/CYB, International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, International Journal of Knowledge Based Intelligent Engineering Systems, The International Journal of Hybrid Intelligent Systems, Neural Information Processing – Letters and Reviews, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, International Journal of Intelligent Computing in Medical Sciences and Image Processing, Fuzzy Information and Engineering : An International Journal, International Journal of Neural Systems (IJNS), and International Journal of Sensor Networks and Data Communications.
