Nejc Žnidar, MSc

Nejc Žnidar, MSc is a Data Scientist and Financial Modeler working at SingularityNET. His skills are in IT and Mathematics Applied Data Research, Software Development, Forecasting, and in creating Automation Tools.

He worked for Zalando, the biggest European fashion e-commerce store, as a data scientist between 2016 and 2018. He performed statistical analysis using different regression and time series models and forecasting and estimating using statistical and machine learning algorithms.

Nejc is also an AI Researcher at SingularityNET, where he is creating a stochastic financial model that quantifies risks for investors. This model is based on past data of similar performances and current outlooks for the future. His other responsibilities include assistance with business plans and analyzing the market. SingularityNET is building a network for decentralized AI services. He is now also helping different businesses and individuals make use of their data.

Nejc earned his Master’s Degree of Science in Quantitative Finance at Tilburg University in the Netherlands in May 2016. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Financial Mathematics from the University of Ljubljana, The Faculty of Mathematics, in 2014.

He is currently working on multiple projects including:

• Making a simulation of burning forest in R

Nejc was a coauthor of A Reputation System for Marketplaces — Viability Assessment, A Reputation System for Multi-Agent Marketplaces, and Reputation System for Online Communities (in Russian) all authored with our board member Anton Kolonin and other Lifeboat board members as well.
