Murilo Saraiva de Queiroz, M.Sc. is Senior Software Engineer at Vetta Labs and Senior Software Engineer at Novamente, LLC.
 
Murilo is a passionate researcher and competent developer, with solid academic background and strong practical skills. Besides his professional experience, which includes several complex, international projects, he also has wide hands-on knowledge from twenty years of activities as a hobbyist and enthusiast of computer programming.
 
His experience as a college professor and technical instructor also provided him with an excellent opportunity to exercise his communication skills. He’s very comfortable with spoken presentations, technical meetings, and in the day-to-day relationships with his colleagues.
 
Murilo coauthored Reinforcement Learning of a Simple Control Task Using the Spike Response Model, Learning comprehensible classification rules from gene expression data using genetic programming and biological ontologies, and Inferring Gene Ontology category membership via gene expression and sequence similarity data analysis.
 
Murilo earned his B.Sc. in Computer Science at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 1999 and his M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2002.
