Krisztina E. Lengyel-Almos, M.P.A., Ph.D. has been inspiring the next generation of leaders since 2012 as a Professor and Project Supervisor at Tecnológico de Monterrey where she teaches courses in Global Economy, Geopolitical Risk Management, Strategic Prospective, Macroeconomics, and International Relations while supervising over 100 student projects over the past decade and conducting workshops.

Tecnológico de Monterrey honored Krisztina's exceptional teaching abilities in 2024, presenting her with an award for achieving the highest student evaluation ratings among faculty.

A visionary scholar and practitioner, Krisztina remains devoted to bridging theory and practice. Her forward-thinking research and teaching continually push the boundaries of traditional economics, blending technology, geopolitical risk assessment, and economic strategy. Her interdisciplinary approach not only helps shape global economic policy but also inspires future leaders to tackle the complexities of an increasingly interconnected world.

Krisztina is a trailblazing economist whose work lies at the intersection of international economic relations, sustainability, technology, and artificial intelligence. Throughout her dynamic career, she has held critical roles at companies such as Burson-Marsteller and Graphisoft Mexico, and in 1996 cofounded ANZIX SA de CV, an entrepreneurial venture focused on software distribution in Mexico.

Through her interdisciplinary work in business and academia, Krisztina is dedicated to promoting technological and economic proficiency and cross-cultural collaboration. As a professor, she currently focuses on equipping future leaders with the tools to navigate an increasingly complex global landscape. Drawing on a solid foundation in economic theory and extensive hands-on experience, Krisztina has increasingly focused her intellectual energies on the transformative potential of emerging technologies in education and strategic analysis. In this vein, she has pioneered research on the integration of AI into geopolitical analysis and conducting nuanced investigations into Bitcoin market dynamics.

In 2023, Krisztina participated in the Tec Du Hack conference with the following topic: “How can we ensure that the integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence in the educational context translates into an understanding and demonstration of genuine learning for our students.” She also attended the 2024 AI Summit at Tecnológico de Monterrey, a collaborative forum dedicated to enhancing education through the usage of artificial intelligence. At this summit, she co-presented Integration of ChatGPT and Digital Economic Atlases for Geopolitical Analysis and Future Risk Assessment.

These experiences not only highlight her innovative approach to teaching, but also demonstrate her commitment to leveraging AI-driven methodologies to cultivate systemic thinking and cross-disciplinary critical analysis. Moreover, through her work as an instructor and academic, she inspires students to engage creatively with cutting-edge technologies.

Krisztina’s professional journey began as an economist at the Texas Office of Public Insurance Counsel, where she developed a strong analytical foundation in economic policy. She then honed her leadership skills as the Central European IT Manager & Account Executive at Burson-Marsteller, and later cofounded ANZIX SA de CV.

During her tenure at ANZIX SA de CV, she was responsible for the company’s finances, developed and implemented an integrated relational database, represented the business externally, and oversaw HR. Her expertise further flourished during her tenure as the Finance and Operations Director for LATAM at Graphisoft Mexico, where she was instrumental in managing corporate strategy, financial planning, and operations across Latin America.

Determined to broaden her perspective on economic policy, Krisztina pursued a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. Her master's dissertation “The Economic Development of South Korea and Hungary Compared” involved substantial research conducted in Seoul, and demonstrates her early commitment to cross-cultural and international economic analysis. Enhancing her professional and linguistic skills, she later obtained a Diploma in Translation and Interpreting (English & Spanish) from the Anglo-American School of Querétaro. In 2023, Krisztina finished her Ph.D. in Economic Administration at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro.
