Katrina Victoria Gumaya is an Investment Specialist and GAMA Platinum Agency Leader at AXA Philippines, Angel Investor, and Senator at the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF). She is a globally awarded investor and financial strategist ranked among the top 1% of wealth advisors worldwide as recognized by MDRT.
With over two decades of experience in investments and capital markets, Katrina has established herself as a prominent figure in global finance and impact investing. Katrina was recognized as Early-Stage Venture Investor of the Year at the 2024 World Congress of Angel Investors in Bahrain and featured on the cover of Global Woman Magazine.
As an Investment Specialist and GAMA Platinum Agency Leader at AXA Philippines since 2013, she leads wealth management strategies and manages global investments for high-net-worth clients. She manages cross-border investments in 27 countries and serves on the boards of high-growth startups in biotech, sustainability, agriculture, fintech, and AI.
Katrina is an Angel Investor in 18 Startup companies around the world and combines her expertise in economics and finance to provide strategic guidance to both local and foreign clients.
Since 2024, Katrina has served as Senator at the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI). In this role, she is committed to collaborating globally to empower economic development by fostering innovative financial instruments for startups, scaleups, innovators, entrepreneurs, and SMEs, while promoting gender equality and women’s participation in all sectors of the world economy.
She serves as Country Chair and Senator of the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), a G20-affiliated body for inclusion. Previously, Katrina served as Chief Investment Officer at Bambuhay from 2023 to 2024, where she pioneered innovative financial strategies for sustainable investments. She has also been a Member of the Board at KITA Agritech since 2022, focusing on full-time agricultural technology advancement and sustainable farming solutions.
Since 2014, Katrina has been a self-employed Angel Investor professional, laying the foundation for her extensive angel investment portfolio. Her earlier career includes serving as Private Wealth Specialist and Family Office Adviser at Katalyst Ventures since January 2014, where she provides exclusive invites to the World Bank and IMF Annual meetings, global Bloomberg and Forbes events, and leverages her extensive network for client benefit.
Throughout her career, Katrina has been an advocate and keynote speaker for financial literacy in the last decade. She regularly shares her expertise at international conferences on capital, innovation, leadership, and the future of wealth around the world. Her speaking engagements include events hosted by the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Bloomberg, and Forbes.
Katrina earned her education from Harvard University in 2023, where she is pursuing advanced studies at Harvard Kennedy School. In terms of professional certifications, Katrina received the GAMA Platinum Awardee recognition from GAMA Global in March 2025, acknowledging her exceptional leadership and achievement in the financial services industry. She also earned the Court of the Table – MDRT Qualifier certification from MDRT in January 2022, placing her among the top financial professionals globally.
