John R. Thompson
John R. Thompson
is Creative Producer of “The Futurists” and
Movie Producer at
Daedal Dream.
John’s landlord was Dr. Bedford, the first person in the world to be
frozen. During his childhood, John’s dad and mom kept frozen brains in
his garage freezer — completely unrelated. It wasn’t to teach John
the
skills of cryonics or chain saw murdering. It was for a physicians’
neuro
anatomy atlas John’s dad was writing…
Influenced by writers, John
studied film at NYU and creative writing at USC. The subject material of
his career came quickly. Cryonics. Several years before John joined
Alcor to be frozen, he met family friend Dave Beverly. Dave was an old
friend of Jerry Leaf, the man who cryopreserved more people in the
world than anyone. John benefited from the amazing and influential
stories about Jerry and Saul Kent and the inspiring people at Alcor, the
forefront of extreme regenerative medicine.
John has also
been
influenced by the careers of stem cell pioneer Mike West and anti-aging
revolutionary
Dr. Aubrey de Grey. Presently, John is dedicating his life
to the completion of an emotional Hollywood thriller about the untold
worlds of regenerative health care and its sometimes radical opposition,
be it fictional or otherwise.
