Gebeshuber, Ph.D.
is Professor at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics
(IMEN) at the National University of Malaysia (UKM).
She is
Associate Editor of
IMechE Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science and
is an editorial board member of various scientific journals.
Ille was named
Austrian of the Year (Research) and won the
Look!Business Award (the largest business award for women in Austria).
Her research interests include Biomimetics of Nanostructures, BioMEMS,
Nanomedicine, and Tribology.

Ille earned her BSc (first class honors) in Technical Physics at the
University of Technology Vienna in 1995. She earned her Ph.D. in
Technical Sciences at the University of Technology Vienna in 1998.
She did her PostDoc work at
University of California Santa Barbara.
