Daniel W. Rasmus

Daniel W. Rasmus is Principal at Daniel W Rasmus and Liberal Arts Fellow at Bellevue College.
 
Dan was previously Director, Business Insights at Microsoft; Vice President/Board of Directors at Institute for Innovation & Information Productivity; and Vice President, Research Leader, CKO at Forrester Research.
 
Dan helps organizations shape strategy through scenario planning and deep analysis of the uncertainties and dynamics of the business climate. He applies his unique ability to synthesize social, economic, political and technological data in order to reveal emergent opportunities, identify threats, and discover creative approaches to both.
 
Clients can expect strong leadership, frank and constructive feedback, and a willingness to teach others how to effectively develop and execute strategy. His speaking and writing skills can be applied to third-party thought leadership content aimed at changing perceptions, repositioning an organization, and demonstrating industry leadership.
 
Dan authored Management by Design: Applying Design Principles to the Work Experience (Microsoft Executive Leadership), Listening to the Future: Why It’s Everybody’s Business (Microsoft Executive Leadership Series), and Rethinking Smart Objects: Building Artificial Intelligence with Objects (SIGS: Advances in Object Technology).
