Nahim Mizan

Nahim Mizan is Associate Editor of the Autapse Student Journal at UCLA, Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (LONI), Site Moderator of r/UCLA and r/UCLAneuroscience, and is majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Conservation Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles.
 
Nahim was previously Research Assistant at the USC Keck School of Medicine where his research project was “Determining sites of ethanol action in P2X4 receptors”. His most recent research project, as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging at UCLA, sought to identify neuroanatomical correlates between psychopathy and cortical thickness in adolescents.
 
Nahim is currently in the process of applying for medical school in the hopes of one day playing a substantial, surgical role in the successful implantation of brain computer interfaces for cognitive enhancement. He believes strongly in humanitarianism and compassion towards all sentient life.
