Dr. Mei Marker

Mei Marker (f.k.a Xue-Mei Wang), Ph.D. is Principal of AI & Data Sciences and a Speaker in the areas of AI, Society, and Ethics.
 
Mei has over 20 years of experience conducting applied research in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. She studied under and was influenced by pioneers and visionaries of Artificial Intelligence such as Jaime Carbonell, Director of Language Technology Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, and Herb Simon, Nobel laureate and recipient of the Turing Award.
 
Mei has served at several top startup and Fortune 100 companies. She has worked as Software Engineer at Apple, Chief Science Officer at Declara, Senior Computer Scientist and Chief Scientist at Adobe, and Data Scientist at Disney Interactive Studios.

Mei earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Math from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
