Madison C. Feehan

Madison C. Feehan is the Founder and CEO of Space Copy, a Contract Employee for NASA NSPIRES (NRESS) Planetary Science, Heliophysics & Astrophysics Divisions, and a full-time student at the University of Victoria with a double specialization in International Business and Entrepreneurship.

With Space Copy, Madison is creating innovative solutions and transforming human exploration methods to the Moon and Mars. It is the first company to create a multi-purpose interplanetary manufacturing and testing device combining lunar regolith sampling, spectral data analysis, AI/ML software, and 3D printing into one mechanism. Madison is the Region Chair on Space Technology and Aviation For The Province of Alberta at G100: Mission Million. This empowered group of 100 women leaders from across the world, leading 100 global wings, is supported by 100 He for She champions and 100 Country Chairs for powerful advocacy, awareness, and impact across governments and organizations for a gender-equal future.

From 2023 to 2024, Madison was the Chief Financial Officer at Moon Trades, a dynamic startup focused on revolutionizing space sciences and STEM education through an AI-enhanced virtual reality platform. They are actively involved in a long-term initiative for lunar mining, deploying autonomous robotics to excavate lunar regolith for in-space assembly and manufacturing, with applications in Earth-based mining projects.

In 2019, Madison joined NASA as an External Reviewer Executive Panelist for NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES) on Planetary Science, Heliophysics, and Astrophysics. In her work, she uses knowledge in Chemistry, Physics (including astrophysics, biophysics, geophysics, and classical physics abstracts), Biology/Genetics, Infrared Imaging Systems (FTIR and LiDAR), Raman spectroscopy, Magnetic Interchange Reconnection, Lunar Surface Instrument and Technology Payloads (LSITP), Lunar Regolith Simulant Instrumentation, Planetary Science, and Aerospace Technology Development.

Between 2022 and 2023, she was a Collaborator for the NASA International Space Apps Challenge 2022 and 2023. As a Freelancer working for the NASA Challenge, she participated as a citizen scientist and business executive for the Universal Hackathon Events Visualizing The Jovian System and the Outfitting a Mars Habitat: A 3D Print Challenge.

Madison was the Founder and Leader of the two international STEM teams “The 3D Prototype Design Ideas For Artemis IV” team and “The Jovian Data Analyzers” project.

In 2021, Madison founded the Learn Resources for Homeschooling, a free site for K-12 students, whose learning has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and for students who have already been educating themselves at home. The site provides step-by-step help for students, teachers, and parents on how to educate kids from home, and what resources you need to be a successful learner.

In 2022, she was a Data Analyst and Citizen Scientist Image Analyst For the European Space Agency CERN x VIRGO Project. She did extensive citizen science volunteer data analytics work for the government and academia, including projects like the NASA Space Apps Challenge. Madison conducted freelance part-time contract work for the European Space Agency’s New Particle Search at the CERN EGO VIRGO project and the Gravitational Wave (GWitch Hunters) project, specializing in IR and Atomic Spectroscopy and Raw Image and Data Processing.

She was also a subcommittee advisor for the United Nations Global Expert Group On Sustainable Lunar Activities (UN COPUOS GEGSLA).

Madison graduated from Harvard Business School in 2022. There, she earned an Entrepreneurship Essentials Certificate in 2021, a Negotiation Mastery Certificate in 2022, and a Disruptive Strategy Certificate in 2022. Madison is a Member of NASA’s LSIC sub-division, and active contributor to NASA TOPS, a Member of Women in Aerospace Canada, and STEM mentor and ambassador for students and early career professionals worldwide.

She is a published author with Elsevier where she coauthored a book commissioned by the White House about AI on behalf of early career professional engagement with the international science community.

Madison was the Winner of the 2021 EPSB Division Awards for “Career & Life Pathway” and “Math, Science & Technologies”.

Madison is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Business Technology Management (BTM) student from Edmonton, Alberta. In the future, Madison has plans to transfer to the University of Victoria to complete a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship and International Business and then pursue a Law degree, followed by a Ph.D. in Law or Business. She is looking forward to completing an executive education program with Oxford’s Saïd Business School after the completion of her undergraduate degree.
