Ayşe Ören

Ayşe Ören is a multidisciplinary artist, architect, and designer. She is the Owner and Founder of DesignArt, working to integrate technology into people’s lives. Her aim is to unify humans with living spaces and cities, while eliminating the negative impact of technology.

Ayşe created the company DesignArt, the first design company established with the Techno Initiative capital support provided by the Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology. As one of the founding companies of the Boğaziçi University Technopark, it is the first design company accepted to the Technopark. The founding objective of DesignArt is to link design, art, and science, to ensure that design is accepted as part of the research and development activities, create new products to meet new requirements through establishing a multi-disciplined system transcending technology and design. Design is a part of development and has an important role in the course of human evolution.

Her works connect art and technology and she aims to build an interdisciplinary system, create new products combining technology and design. She adopts multi-disciplinary approaches, by interpreting them based on cultural experience and future needs. Topics include environmental awareness, energy efficiency, smart cities, and the Internet of Things.

She started a project titled “Smartables” that converts living spaces into comfortable, safe, and manageable areas. Smartables will be an important step towards the creation of smart cities. She aims to build bridges between cities and people.

Ayşe earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Environmental Design at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey in 2006.

As an architect, her interests span fields including history, philosophy and psychology, and space architecture. Her works are on the contemporary and conceptual side that includes abstract art, sculpture, furniture and product design, and graphic design..

Ayşe was the first designer to be accepted into the Technopark of Boğaziçi University, a major research university in Istanbul, Turkey. Its main campus is located on the European side of the Bosphorus strait. Founded in 1863, as Robert College, it was the first American higher education institution founded outside the United States. Though under Turkish administration today, the university still maintains strong ties to the American educational system.

Ayşe was invited speaker at the New World 2022 conference by Earthlight Foundation, speaking on Infinite beauty of working to fill the Infinite Canvas of Space.

Ayşe is a big fan of Michael Jackson and after his death in 2009 there was a Live Forever Monument Competition in Los Angeles held by Bustler. Ayşe won 1st prize in the Michael Jackson’s Memorial Design Competition. See her Michael Jackson Live Forever Monument.
