Ageing and Metabolism at Clore Laboratory, University of Buckingham,
This internationally recognized research group has interests in molecular genetics, biochemistry, pharmacology, nutrition, and the physiology of metabolic diseases, particularly diabetes and obesity.
The Clore Laboratory is led by Professors Mike Cawthorne and Jon Arch, researchers with a track record in drug discovery, including β3-adrenoceptor agonists and the thiazolidinedione insulin sensitizer rosiglitazone.
Staff at the Clore Laboratory conduct basic research into fundamental mechanisms in the aeliology of diabetes and obesity and undertake pre-clinical contract research with both major pharma and biotech organizations.
Roy authored If you want to live longer, do nothing and coauthored Could lab-grown meat soon be the solution to the world’s food crisis?
