Stanley Pecavar
Stanley Pecavar has been an Engineer with Sun Microsystems since
June 2000.
His focus at Sun
is on test vehicle development, thermal interface
material development, package thermal modeling, and qualification
testing for various Sun products.
Stan’s interests include: (1) better understanding the path to the
“singularity”; (2) development of “conscious” artificial intelligence;
and (3) human enhancement technologies.
An issue that concerns him greatly is the probability of a catastrophic
event occurring during the coming decades due to error/failure/accident
of advancing technologies. What are some proactive measures we can take
to improve chances of this not happening?
