Lakshman
Madurasinghe, Ph.D.
is
Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka,
the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Vice President Legal &
Strategy
of the US-based think tank and consultancy
Academic Consortium of the Americas, Member of
the Academic
Board
Assessment committee of EDU in Brussels, and Secretary General of
Chamber of Chartered Java Professionals International, Greece. In
the
early
nineties he headed the International Institute of Theological Studies
— IITS, that helped train over two hundred Christian Leaders in
the
Gulf. He is an International Faculty member of Haggai handling Buddhism,
Islam, and world religions.
He is a lawyer with a special interest in human rights, encryption and
cybercrimes, strategist and a transpersonal psychologist with local
and overseas exposure to diverse business cultures in a multi national
environment. He is a Member of The World Jurists
Association, International Council of Psychologists, Institute of
Counselling Glasgow, British Scholars Association, Cambridge University
Society, and a Life Member of OPA, BASL, Colombo Law Society, and Sri
Lanka Institute of Directors.
He is the author of “Organizational Behavior”, and joint author of
“Clinical Psychology” and a 12-volume set on “World Religions”. The
first two covering Buddhism and Christianity were released in November
2004. In 2007, he wrote a
review of Pope Benedict’s encyclical
Spe
Salvi Facti Sumus. He has been nurtured in the Anglo-Catholic
tradition and has written and lectured to International audiences on
Eucharistic Consciousness, Counselling Psychology for Christians, and
Sin vs
Suffering comparing Karl Bath’s Dogmatics with Buddhagosha’s
Visudhimagga.
Lakshman is married to
Charmaine Madurasinghe, Attorney-at-Law, Member
of the National Police Commission Sri Lanka.
