Eric Mack is CNET Blogger, President of La Jicarita Community Foundation, and former Managing Editor of Crowdsourcing.org, He is author of 90 Below: Or, What Bush Alaska Taught Me About Drink, Destruction & Survival and cofounder of a charter school for underserved kids in rural New Mexico.
 
Founded in 2010, the industry website, Crowdsourcing.org, is a neutral organization dedicated solely to crowdsourcing and crowdfunding. As one of the most influential and credible authorities in the crowdsourcing space, Crowdsourcing.org is recognized worldwide for its intellectual capital, crowdsourcing, and crowdfunding practice expertise and unbiased thought leadership.
 
The La Jicarita Community Foundation raises funds for local educational projects, including La Jicarita Community School, an Expeditionary Learning charter elementary school in rural northern New Mexico.
 
Eric’s goal is to explain the world of science and technology in a manner that informs and entertains, and if he helps save the world along the way, that’s cool, too.
 
Eric earned his Bachelor’s in Journalism and Broadcast at the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2001.
