Adam Weigold, Ph.D. is Chief Executive Officer and Cofounder at BitSavr.
 
BitSavr is a new startup developing novel cryptocurrency technologies for next-generation bitcoin banking applications. BitSavr’s patent pending technologies will offer the worlds fastest, most secure, and convenient banking platform for the everyday consumer.
 
Adam is a physicist, technologist, market analyst, business development specialist, author, and digital currency evangelist. He is a startup veteran for early stage technology businesses in the roles of CEO / CTO / SVP / Director. He has over 20 years of technology innovation and business management experience building startups in photonics, industrial automation, telecom, defense, medical devices, medical services, and financial Services sectors.
 
He has over 10 years experience working in advisory roles for defense, software, telco, social media, financial services, consumer, and retail industries. He has successfully exited three ventures via two public company acquisitions and one private sale. He has been involved in launching an IPO on the ASX and numerous private equity / M&A transactions. He has a significant and varied publication list including numerous patents, scientific papers, technical white papers, marketing publications, industry magazine articles, and blog articles (and an upcoming e-book on Social Media). He relocated from Australia to the Bay Area in 2012.

Adam earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics at Adelaide University in 1987. He earned his Ph.D. in Atomic and Laser Physics at Macquarie University in 1992.
