Here are roadmaps which are proposed to build knowledge arks or doomsday vaults on Earth or in space.

- Establishing working memorandums and relationships with organizations which align to the cause, such as space advocacy organizations and GLAMs (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums).
- Early stages with regard to construction plans and artifact inclusion criteria.
- Publication and collection of research papers by academia regarding knowledge arks which aids in its development.
- Identifying entry points in political circles as a start in order to persuade politicians and leaders to support construction of knowledge arks.
