It addresses some of the issues that have stalled wider-scale adoption of solar power, suggesting an avenue for using <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/solar+energy\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">solar energy<\/a> around-the-clock, despite limited sunlight hours, cloudy days and other constraints.<\/p>\n<p>The work, described in a paper published Wednesday in <i>Joule<\/i>, combines molecular energy <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/storage\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">storage<\/a> and latent heat storage to produce an integrated harvesting and <a href=\"https:\/\/techxplore.com\/tags\/storage+device\/\" rel=\"tag\" class=\"\">storage device<\/a> for potential 24\/7 operation.
