Well, I am exaggerating a bit, and perhaps more than just a bit. Yet, fact is that within two weeks of Erik\u2019s publication <a title=\"Papers citing Verlinde's Entropic Gravity paper\" href=\"http:\/\/arxiv.org\/cits\/1001.0785\">a steady stream of \u2018entropic everything\u2019 papers<\/a> has developed at a rate of close to one paper per day. Gravity, Einstein\u2019s equations, cosmic expansion, dark energy, primordial inflation, dark mass: it\u2019s all entropic. Chaos rules. Entropy is king!<\/p>\n<p>Or is it?<\/p>\n<p>Could it be that an \u2018entropic bandwagon\u2019 has started rolling? Is this all not just a fad appealing to scientist tired of string theory? What is this elusive entropic force anyway?
