In a new study, researchers describe how to find <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livescience.com\/building-a-wormhole-with-cosmic-strings.html\">wormholes<\/a> in the folds of our galaxy.<\/p>\n<p>These hypothetical passageways, created by folding a region of space like a piece of paper, are predicted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livescience.com\/32216-what-is-relativity.html\">Einstein\u2019s theory of general relativity<\/a>. But they require extreme gravitational conditions, such as those around supermassive black holes.<\/p>\n<p>In the new study, two researchers came up with a method to search for wormholes close to home, around the Milky Way\u2019s central, supermassive black hole, called Sagittarius A*.
