Scientists had been testing the drugs in the hope of regenerating the thymus gland.<\/p>\n<p>But upon further analysis, they found that participants had lost an average of 2.5 years on their \u201cepigenetic clock,\u201d measured by analyzing marks on a person\u2019s genomes, according to the journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/d41586-019-02638-w\" target=\"_blank\">Nature<\/a>.
